MuckRack: using Twitter to get tomorrow's news today

Posted by Helena Deards on April 17, 2009 at 1:19 PM

Twitter has been much praised, and simultaneously criticised, for its ability to break news first. But "What if you could get tomorrow's newspaper today?" asks new site Muck Rack. MuckRack's theory is that it can use Tweeting journalists to predict the next day's articles.

Based on the theory that whatever journalists are Tweeting now will be what they're writing about tomorrow, the site aggregates the feeds of popular journalists into one site. It seperates said journalists into the companies they work for, and allows replies, re-Tweets and recommendations. Another example of Twitter's news prowess, and an insight into the next day's articles? Or simply an aggregation of mundane details of journalistic lives?
