NeonTommy.com is the name of the newest news website launched by USC Annenberg's School of Journalism. The student-run website is co-edited by graduate students, Brian Frank and Chris Nelson, while being supervised by Annenberg Digital News director and journalism professor Marc Cooper.
Cooper said that the site will compete with "anybody and everybody on local and national news". The staff counts about 38 people. Mediabistro.com noted how this number is more than the staff at LA Weekly and LACityBeat combined.
