Search engine giant Google reports that it is launching technology that will let users search for news content on blog posts. The optimized Google Blog Search will find and arrange the 900,000 blog entries that are added each day. Previously the service only let users to type keywords into the search engine.
Blog entries will be categorised and placed into clusters on the left side of the site, says Google product manager Michael Cohen. Categories feature politics, technology, business, science, sports, entertainment, movies and television.

"When you look within a cluster, you'll find a collection of the most interesting and recent posts on the topic, along with a timeline graph that shows you how the story is gaining momentum in the blogosphere," added Cohen.

Although the service will be initially available only in English, Google intends to launch it in other languages in the future.
