Video platform Dailymotion in HD

Posted by Jean Yves Chainon on February 20, 2008 at 9:36 AM
Video-sharing platform Dailymotion has taken a step ahead of YouTube by adding high-definition videos.

HD videos can be uploaded by the site’s MotionMakers – privileged contributors who produce quality content.

Other platforms including Vuze and Vimeo have offered HD video for a while, but YouTube has yet to roll out the technology.

This news comes as YouTube’s audience slightly dipped for the week ending Feb. 10, with 33.3 million unique visitors (down from 34.1 million the previous week), according to Nielsen Online.
