Posted by Jean Yves Chainon on November 26, 2007 at 3:28 PM
The Liverpool Echo is to deliver news through Streetbroadcast screens in the city’s busy shopping area. Sounds like good marketing?

Streetbroadcast has installed five StreetLive units in Liverpool’s main shopping district.

When England football team manager Steve McClaren was sacked, the news reached the Echo at 9:15am. The news was sent to Streetbroadcast at 9:53am and the displayed on the screens by 10:30am.

The Echo’s outdoor sales team is figuring out ways to sell local advertising for the digital screens. Streetbroadcast is in charge of selling ads to national agencies.

The city council also has space on the screens for it do display community messages, and the local emergency services can have immediate access when required.
