Corbis, a stock photography company has partnered with PicScout to offer some of its images to bloggers for free, in exchange for advertising.
Bloggers will have free access to images from Corbis for their posts in exchange for showing the advertising that is embedded in the photos. The photos will either include an ad overlay on part of the image, or will have embedded advertising that pops up when a Web user runs a cursor over the picture.
Corbis will also offer bloggers ad revenue depending on how many times Web users click the images that they post on their blogs.
PicScout, the digital rights partner of Corbis, will offer bloggers access to photos through the site PicApp.com through which they will be able to track photos to make sure they are not being used illegally.
