Newspaper Association of America launches YouTube contest

The Newspaper Association of America (NAA) is launching a contest for teens, asking them to create a YouTube video showing their use of online newspapers.
Maybe they followed the example of the LA Youth newspaper, which had produced a video on YouTube to attract younger readers.

"Our work has shown us that many teens follow the news, and are quite aware of what's happening in their communities and world around them," Sandy Woodcock, director of the NAA Foundation, said in a statement.

"We launched this contest to find out how teens use newspapers - for anything from acing a current events test to selecting a weekend movie - so we can learn more about how the future audience interacts with newspaper products."

The deadline for the contest is Dec. 17. The winner will get an iPhone and trip for two to the NAA’s annual convention.
