Follow Web 2.0 developments with blognation
Posted by Mica Swyers on July 5, 2007 at 3:09 PM
On July 1, blognation launched in the UK and became the first portal in an ambitious project to cover developments in Web 2.0 on a global scale.
Initially, 16 blognation editors are set to cover Web 2.0 in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Iceland, the Netherlands, Israle, Japan, China/Taiwan/Hong Kong, Australia, Brazil, South America. The project is currently recruiting editors to cover Canada, Russia, India, South Africa, South Korea, South-East Asia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Greece.
The project seeks to provide a comprehensive source of information on Web 2.0 technology for the English-speaking world, which may be left in the dark about developments in non-English-speaking countries. According to a launch report by blognation founder Sam Sethi, the US is not included in the coverage because its Web 2.0 reports are already extensive and readily available.
Editors and publishers may want to follow blognation’s coverage to learn about “the latest Web 2.0 technology, mobile, and enterprise start-ups from around the world.” As the major mainstream news sites prove with their redesigned pages, the news industry would do well to embrace and take advantage of Web 2.0 and its technology.

i really dont care about muslims.
if they are not happy in canada let them go back to their country of origin
I think its great that Islmaic people are able to have a free press. Thanks god for Canada! I'm going to get a subscription, and I'm not even Muslim. Way to go people.
The last comment in this thread makes no sense. Just because someone is starting a newspaper doesn't mean that they don't like Canada. Grow up. Its the ignorance in comments like that, that make the world so f'ed these days. Grow up loser!

If there can be Asian, Christian, Jewish and many other newspaper published in Canada than why not let the Muslims and any possible more groups to have their own newspaper.
This motion also contributes more to a Multicultural Canadian Society.
Peter you said in your first post here:

I wonder what’s the logic behind that if the Muslims want their own newspaper that means they are being unhappy?
As to my knowledge, Canada is a Multicultural and Free Country so if some people don’t like it here they are free to stay and make thing mutually better or if they want they can leave freely.
If some people are unhappy about something, first they should try to make it better –that is the healthy way of thinking- and escape should be their very last resort, if “escape” can be considered as a solution.
To my interpretation, this article has nothing to do with who is happy or not.
i want only islamic newspaper
plz send me
I welcome very happily to the intention. As a muslim from Indonesia, I am eager to know more about muslims life in Canada. Because I ever met an old friend who had been in Canada that canadians are very-very open to multi-religious and cultural groups. If possible I want to be able to read the newspaper through its website.
Thank you.
Please mail sample copy of your newspaper, when you
begin publishing, to:
