Mobile PressDisplay extends service to BlackBerry devices

Posted by Mica Swyers on June 26, 2007 at 10:21 AM
In another example of newspapers going digital, Mobile PressDisplay has recently extended its service to advanced BlackBerrys, giving users access to over 500 dailies on their BlackBerry Curve 8300, BlackBerry Pearl 8100, and BlackBerry 8800 mobile devices.

The service, available through NewspaperDirect’s PressDisplay.com, costs $29.99 a month and provides online digital replicas of publications such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal Europe, The San Franciso Chronicle, London’s The Daily Telegraph, and The Los Angeles Times.  The database includes publications from 70 nations in 37 languages.

With PressDisplay, the current leader in online full-content publications offerings, users can sign up for searches with specific keywords in PressDisplay.com publications database.  A message is then sent to the BlackBerry notifying the user of an article of interest.
