The Associated Press can now track their content with technology from Attributor
A partnership between the Associated Press and Attributor, a California-based technology company, will help track AP content anywhere on the Web. “We are looking at it not just to protect our rights but to derive some intelligence,” said Srinandan Kasi, vice president, general counsel and secretary of AP.
Co-founder of Attributor and CEO, Jim Brock, discusses the technology: “Right now publishers are in the dark. They don't have full visibility with the content once it goes online. The first step is providing that visibility. With that, as we talk to publishers, we find great interest how re-use could be understood.”
“I think it's part of a pattern on the front-end. Content needs to be freely distributed, but
that doesn't mean free. If that is to happen we need to know where it is,” says Ken Doctor, an affiliate analyst with Outsell Research.
For now AP is using the technology to monitor text, but plans to begin monitoring video and images with Attributor.
With various news aggregators on the Internet, this new technology may become indispensable for newspaper companies wishing to guard the use of their content.

I have been waiting for the victorian dolls house and furniture which I sent for sometime ago and which to be send among the first batch in November, as I made the priority phone call to be among the first despatched. Sir, As per the Daily Mail Promotion, for the Victorian Doll`s House:-
On the 21st,June,2006, I sent a cheque to register for a Doll`s house.
On the 23rd,June,2006,I sent a second check to register for a further three doll`s houses. Making that four in total.
On the 27th, July, I sent a cheque, and order, for four sets of doll`s house furniture, to complement the doll`s houses ordered.
All the cheques have been redeemed.
I have received the four sets of furniture, no problem, and three doll`s houses,(Pink Fronted colour), and I wish to thank, who ever it concerns, for the speedy and efficient manner in which they dealt with my order. However, I am still awaiting the delivery of one doll`s house,( Blue fronted Colour). I sent payment for post and packaging for 2 sets of Magic and Fantasy DVD collection, to be sent to Marie Cronin, Tullymurrihy, Ballinascarthy, Clonakilty, Co.Cork. And to Barbara Shorten, 8 Church Avenue, Cathedral Road, Cork and have recieved nothing. I sent payment the day the offer closed, I dont understand the delay and I have phoned the office and they said there was a delay but said it was fine now when I try to ring the phone is out of service. My daughter is very excited about some of the movies and I want to know what is going on.

I ordered 2 sets of Magic and Fantasy DVD collection, I sent post and packing and tokens x 2. After 2 weeks passed I called and asked for a delivery date, I was told there was a big demand and I would indeed get my 2 collections. After so many weeks I now have my small girl asking where her new DVD's are, well thats a good question love, where indeed?
