Dear Sir,
I am writing this to inform you regarding the malpractices that are being practiced in pharmaceuticals these days.
This field these days is full of curruption. Doctors write substandard drugs. They demand money from companies for support and companies do give rathes wait for such opportunities. These MNCs are making them currupt. They offer conferences, ready cash, foreign tours to lucure them. Their(MNCs) employees are highly paid.
If you look at the prices that these MNCs have kept fot their products you would be astonished. Products that are available to stockists at Rs 1000 are sold at a MRP of 5000. They have excuses that they have done research. But then why are they currupting doctors. The patient has to pay as the prescribers prescribes them. Why not he gets his cut. Even essential medicines are priced so high that a common cannot afford but has to pay anyhow. These MNCS are powerfull financially so they will buy the minor players and will have a monopoly tomorrow. The cost of healthcare services will sore too high out of reach of common man. But who cares.
Doctors having private practice sell high ended products to earn more profits through their owned pharmacies. Doctors in government hospitals have commisions on everything from laboratoties to medicines. They dont care what the patient has to pay .
Companies tend to show they are very ethical but people in sales are forced to do unethical practices as they have to do their targets. Doctors are paid for every single prescription. The margins in oncolog products and cardiac products are huge. eg stents.
The need of hour is that indian companies should come forward and provide standard products at good prices and the government should help rising enterpreneurs with innovative ideas.
The govenment should have a strong control on drug pricing and people found guilty should be punished. These things look good in books but in reality scenario is different. The government says it does have control on prices but then why a poor patient has to pay 10 times the price of other substitutes available. They are unaware of products and quality . They solely depend on doctors prescriptions who are sold to these MNCs.
The patients should be aware to know whether they are being cheated or not. All retailers , doctors, company people are involved in fooling them. All they are intersted is there benefits.
Media covers ministers, police. Why not spy cams for doctors?
This serious issue needs to be given due consideration.
Hope you will print this article to enhance awareness of people.
Thankyou
Sincerely yours
Rajiv Kumar

Respected sir,
I don't know whether I am asking to the right people about this. I searched in the internet quite a lot but i didn't find any except this to speak about this.
Sir, I had taken a loan 10 years back under the PMRY scheme to start a DTP institution. I had to sell it off due to terrible loss. And all the money which i got after seeling it, I paid to the bank (CSB). And the remaining balance amount accumulated upto 2.5 lakhs. Now the kerla govt has ordered revenue recovery. And it is going to take place within few days. I don't have parents and i have got 2 brothers and three sisters. One sister has still to get married.
I wandered all over India for job but i didn't get any. I tried to go to Malaysia. But the agent cheated me after taking the money from me (80000). I went to saudi arabia after giving 85000 to the agent. The two years salary was not enough to pay off that money to the money lenders.
I have got these qualifications.
BTech in Computer science
Microsoft Certified System Engineer
Cisco Certiifed Network Professinal
But I find very difficult to get a job
If I had a job through out my life, I could easily pay off the loan.
Or otherwise if the kerala govt gives me a job, I can pay it off from my salary.
My family members have got big burdens on them due to my parent's sickness and death and followed by sister's marriage. Neither they or myself in a position to pay off the loan now.
Will I get some more time or any other consideration to avoid this forthcoming revenue recovery procedures.
I don't have any option infront of me rather doing something drasticaly to avoid unnecessary burden and bad name come to my other family members
Please advise me, if someone able to do something for me
Sincerely
I am very happy to see your photographer busy on the morning of 19th March 2007 photographing the Solar Eclipse of the New Year Sarvajit from different locations and in various angles of the spetacular view. With my best for a happy NEW YEAR.

Dear Sir,
I don't remember since when I've been associated with "The Hindu". I'm an avid reader of the paper. I have been worrying about lot of things that are happening in one of the most respected newpapers of India. There is a great degeneration in the standard of language. But still I never felt so unhappy as I did last Monday of 13 August, when you released a supposedly 70 page special edition of the paper to mark the 60th anniversary of our independance. I had been looking forward to go through it. But unfortunately I did not get my subscriber's copy on that day. I was under the impression that there were floods and other such natural calamities that prevented you from sending the paper in time, the reason, normally, the paper boy tells for not delivaring a day's paper. But to my dismay, upon the enquiry at the local kiosk I learned that the day's edition was sent by you, but it's not delivered to the subscribers and the greedy local agent sold it in bulk given the size of the day's edition. I felt sorry and cheated. Moreover just after two days, at a lorry parcel office I saw the special edition of Monday 13 August in unopned bundles in printer fold, unread, unreached to the subscribers, being loaded into trucks. What a an appalling situation, I saw my own subscriber's copy taken away undelievered. I have a taken a hard decision then and there that, I stopped my subscription in the middle of the month. I have decided not to subscribe until the greedy agent is there and my friends and like minded people are also have followed the suit. Hope you will soon find what went wrong. And we will be happy if the agent is changed and the special edition is delivered for us, so that we will become subscribers again.
