France : Le Monde to launch participatory journalism site

The French quality daily Le Monde will be launching a new participatory journalism website in the weeks to come. Users will be able to, initially, comment on and react to news items.
The project was recently proposed to Le Monde staffers, but few details have been given as to its launch.
Interestingly, the news portal won’t be published under the Le Monde brand name.
