New software reader acts like human brain

Nstein Technologies Inc. has created new data summary software that according to CEO Mario Girard has the potential to revolutionize the newspaper industry. "Nstein is the closest technology to the human brain when it comes to understanding text,” said Girard.
According to Girard, the new summary program, cybernetic brain, will be able to help newspapers customize content for each individual reader by summarizing material and better indexing the site stories. The custom papers can also have reader specific advertisements to target the key audience.

The cybernetic brain is able to imitate a human thought process when reading a piece of text.  To achieve this, the program looks at repeated words to determine important themes, uses a synonym database to find related subjects and does a final linguistic analysis to determine the actual grammatical structure of the sentence.

The company, which started and still works indexing information for media sites, has a list of traditional media clients including the BBC, Transcontinental Media and photo giant Corbis.
