Russian Editors Weblog Version Officially Launched
The Russian weblog is a co-project of WEF and the Russian Guild of Press Publishers within the framework of the 59th WAN Congress, 13th WEF Forum and Info Services Expo to be held in Moscow, June 4-7, 2006.
The Russian blog has the name of Forum of Russian Editors.
The main difference between the Editors Weblog and its Russian version is the audience. The Forum of Russian Editors addresses not only the editors of printed newspapers but also the editors of weekly and monthly magazines and online publications.
The Forum is a unique online community for Russian media professionals where they can learn about the development of the global media – it is of key importance that all the information is in the Russian language – and discuss their own media strategies.
Compared to the Editors Weblog the Russian Forum is adapted for readers from Russia. The majority of postings are translated from the Editors Weblog and if readers are not familiar with any media realities the explanation comes next. Other postings deal with the Russian media so there is a possibility to compare global and Russian media agendas and to improve the media development in Russia.
