US RSS technology company Pluck is set to launch a new service called Blog Burst, which will distribute content from pre-approved blogs to newspaper websites. Blog Burst charges publishers for this service, and there are also plans for a compensation system for bloggers.

The company made the following statement: "BlogBurst will definitely have a compensation option for bloggers. We are using the beta period to get a sense for how the system performs for bloggers and publishers alike. We understand the system has to be balanced to create a win-win for everyone involved."

So far the following newspapers have signed up for the service: The San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, and The Houston Chronicle
