Swedish mail services refuse to distribute Muhammad cartoon
Posted by Evan Fell on November 15, 2007 at 12:08 PM
Swedish national postal service has refused to distribute the SD Kuriren, a newspaper containing a reproduction of Lars Vilks’s illustration of Muhammad as a dog.
The same problem plagued Sweden in August after a local newspaper published the same cartoon.
The postal service felt as the distribution of the paper may pose a security risk.
Sweden's largest direct marketing company, Svensk Direktreklam, joined the postal service in refusing to distribute the paper. The company has said it will only distribute political material coming from Sweden’s present parliamentary parties.
