US: NYT launches Editorial Board blog

The New York Times has launched its Board blog, written by the board’s 19 members. It will discuss the broad range of issues covered by the Times’ editorials.

“Editorial board members who report and write in these areas will share with you what they are thinking, what they have been reading, and what they’re skeptical about,” reported the Times.

“We will also share with you some of the raw materials we use to reach our opinions, and that you may want to consult to form your own — reports, transcripts, roll call votes in Congress and local legislatures.”

Most of the blog posts will be unsigned, as are the Times’ editorials.

An excellent initiative, which should further the relationship and interaction with the already loyal readership of Times’ editorials.
