US: Sun-Times launches dozen hyper-local sites

The Sun-Times News Group (STNG) has quadrupled the number of its hyper-local websites, after in announced the launch of a dozen more NeighborhoodCircle.com sites.
The NeighborhoodCircle.com sites reinforce the local coverage of suburban weeklies published by STNG parent company Sun-Times Media Group. They provide local news and promote reader interaction, posting user stories, blogs, and providing calendars of events.
NeighborhoodCircle.com are now available in 15 Chicago suburbs.
"These sites nicely complement Web sites that correspond with our 92 newspaper titles, offering our readers more information than ever," Fred Lebolt, STNG's vice president, New Media, said in a statement.
