NYT online launches small-business section
The section contains weekly columns and features from Times staffers, as well as information from AllBusiness.com, Inc. Magazine and SmallBusiness.org. It also has a resource center guide for information of specific topics, containing links, how-to’s, and archival information.
Columns will include an extension of James Flanigan’s monthly times entrepreneurial column, as well as weekly columns about career shifting and the changing universe of small business.
The site will certainly reach a niche audience, which could help advertising focus.
"Advertisers have long been asking for ways to reach the small business community and now we've given them a powerful new platform that aggregates all of the great reporting we do in this area as well as carefully selected partner content,” said Vivian Schiller, senior vice president of NYTimes.com.
