UK: Telegraph design editor dismissed

David Wadmore, group design director of Telegraph Media Group, was laid off after six weeks on the job. The news was released just days after the departure of Daily Telegraph editor-in-chief John Bryant.
"I am not only surprised at my sudden departure from the Telegraph Group, but have been left feeling very angry and frustrated," said Wadmore.

It seems the Telegraph has been living through a wave of staff upheavals through the past year. Martin Newland, former Daily Telegraph Editor, had left the paper after Bryant’s appointment, and Sarah Sands, former Sunday Telegraph editor, quit after disagreements with Bryant.

The Daily Telegraph confirmed it hired Chris Evans, former news editor for the Daily Mail, as its new news editor.

With the jailing of Irving we can all rest easily knowing that the spirit of Hitler is still alive and well in Austria. As a simple person, I'm just confused about Irving being jailed for his political beliefs or for stating his personal beliefs. Both of which are detrimental to a thriving democratic country. May he rot in jail so Austria can lick its historical wounds
