Free for mobile subscribers, users must log into their mobile WAP site and input wap.beikebao.com to receive this service. The service, similar to the print version of Beijing Technology Newspaper, will focus on technology discovery, spirit and living. The service will soon give access to archives, information on new activities of the paper and allow users interact with the newspaper by leaving messages for the paper.

'The mobile newspaper is a sign of the digital revolution of traditional media,' said Zhao Yinghua, chief editor of Beijing Technology Newspaper.

A recent study by market research firm Ipsos Insight shows that mobile use to browse the internet and check e-mail is on the rise in parts of Europe and Asia.
