MySpace now ranked in top ten websites in the world
The recent purchase of MySpace by News Corp. has yet to show data proving Murdoch’s purchase will make a killing on the acquisition but MySpace is still exploding in popularity.
But as the Internet social networking site MySpace moves up from the 14th most popular site in the world to the eighth, Murdochs purchase is showing a lot of promise. The site has recently been named the second most popular on the Internet in terms of page views.
"It looks like the best acquisition we've made in a long, long time," chief operating officer of News Corp.' Peter Chernin told Fortune magazine. "MySpace is the single biggest growth opportunity this company has."
Purchased for $580 million merely eight months ago, MySpace is looking like the purchase of the century.

I have been signed up with myspace for only 3 months now and I am totally addicted...I break in to cold sweats if I can't check it whenever I want. Having done so much travelling in my life, it's has been the best way to stay connected with friends of all kinds! I have friends from kindergarden all the way to current (I am 30 now) and some who don't live in the country anymore...no more having to keep track of email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, etc. I can see pictures and videos which are up to date. It makes them feel so much closer to me....not a faded memory. I love myspace!
myspace is one of easier than alot of other places like aol, or yahoo, because it allows you to do so much. its not about just putting up your picture, and telling noone specific about who you want them to think you are...it allows you to really show people what you like to do by letting you post images on your page that can explain alot more about what your into, than just text. even as your reading this...you may or maynot be getting bored... check mypage out to see what im talking about:

you'll understand what the big deal is..after you see mine!!!! its not a fad... its a way to communicate that offers more options than anyone else! and its free... thats what makes it such a threat to online dating services... and other wanna be "networking" pages.
keep it free, and give everyone as many options as possible, (video/audio/flash/html...) and theyre will be o reason to go any where else!!!!

I use myspace as a networking place. I promote people in the Entertainment Industry. I help them get leads on castings, music events, networking with directors, producers and other actor/actresses... ect cetra.
