Canada: Toronto Sun names new editor
From Globe and Mail: "The Toronto Sun has named Jim Jennings, a former vice-president of Thomson Newspapers, as its new editor-in-chief. Mr. Jennings, 55, an editorial consultant based in Lexington, Ky., will assume his new post Sept. 15. During his 35-year career in journalism, he has worked and consulted with more than 180 newspapers in Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States. He first came to Toronto in 1997 to assist The Globe and Mail in its relaunch prior to the 1998 arrival of the National Post. Former Sun editor Mike Therien left the tabloid two months ago to assume the position of editor-in-chief at the Ottawa Sun.
