US: New Tribune Bureau Chief named

Cissy Baker will now "preside over a combined Tribune bureau," including such papers as The Chicago Tribune, The Orlando Sentinel, The Baltimore Sun, and The Los Angeles Times.
As the new vice president of the Washington News Bureau for Tribune Company, Baker will now oversee "all newsgathering operations in the nation's capital for the company's publishing, broadcasting and interactive divisions."

Additional responsibilities include "coordinating news coverage and facilitating content sharing among the company's media businesses."
The change to the Tribune's D.C. bureau comes following an intense reporting cycle of the 2008 presidential election, as the company gears up to cover a new administration.
Baker is former Tribune Broadcasting's Washington bureau chief and vice president for news operations.
