France: New free weekly launched

Le Dauphine Libere launched free weekly, avignews.com in Avignon, France at the end of October.
The paper is 24-pages in length and has an initial circulation of 25,000. The paper also has a web site that features a four-minute daily news report.
According to Newspaper Innovation, a similar news venture has been launched in Grenoble, France - grenews.com.
