US: Wilmington News Journal and Star Republican undergo a series of changes

Posted by Lauren Drablier on October 27, 2008 at 10:05 AM
The Wilmington News Journal and its sister paper, the Star Republican announced a series of changes that will take place at both of the papers.

Beginning November 10, the News Journal will no longer print a Monday edition.  News from Monday will be on the paper's website.
The Star Republican will be resdesigned and renamed the News Journal Star as of December 1.  Furthermore, the paper will be delivered on Monday rather than Sunday.

Delivery of the two papers will now be provided through the United States Postal Service as a means to control expenses.  Only the Saturday edition of the News Journal will continue to be distributed with carriers due to its weight.
