UK: The Independent replaces media section with sports

On Monday, October 6 The Independent launched a 24-page sports section replacing the stand-alone media section. The media section has been moved into the main paper and still has seven pages of coverage.
However, according to The Guardian, it is difficult to attract advertisers for sports sections which may pose revenue problems for the paper.
