Russia: newspaper Russkoe Zabaykalie accused of extremism

Regional Russian newspaper Russkoe Zabaykalie was accused of promoting extremist views. Authorities said that the paper contained material that wasn't only critical of the Russian government but that was also inciting hatred based on ethnic or religious differences. Officials warned that the paper might be shut down in the near future. The paper is based in Chita, Zbaykalsy Krai and has a printed 21 issues so far, 4 of which were printed in 2008.
Recently, authorities accused papers Novaya Gazeta and Chernovik of similar offences.
