US: International news is just 11% of coverage, China most popular

Only around 11% of US newspaper content is focused international news, with Chinese news taking up 16.6% of the coverage, according to a study by The Project for Excellence in Journalism.

The countries that receive media coverage are, in descending order, Iraq (7.6%), Burma (7.2%), Pakistan (5.3%), Zimbabwe (5.2%), Israel (5.2%), Palestine (4.4%), Afghanistan (3.9%), Iran (2.6%), Cuba (2.2%), Russia (1.9%) and Lebanon (1.6%).
