mumbai-mirror.gifThe Times Group of India launched on April 6 the Pune Mirror, a compact morning daily targeted with a younger crowd in mind.

The new publication is designed to cater to India's the "new breed of attention-thin teenagers accustomed to snappy, colorful, and image-rich media," reports Publicitas.

Modeled after the popular Mumbai Mirror (see photo, click for larger image), the paper will run at 48 pages long, and aims to blend the content of a broadsheet with the visual look of a tabloid. The Times Group chose Pune as the ideal site for the launch thanks to its large student population.
