Copley News Service launches "green" column

Posted by Carolyn Lo on April 4, 2008 at 9:53 AM
Copley News Service has just launched "Today's Green Minute," a new weekly column that is "green" and short (approximately 170 words), which will be written by Jim Parks, host of HGTV's "New Spaces."

Copley Manager of Sales and Marketing Tim Cien said, "You can actually read it in a minute," but the column "still contains a lot of information."

The eco-oriented column discusses companies that are "trying to do some eco-friendly things," according to Editor & Publisher. It will be available for individual sale, but will be marketed with Shawn Dell Joyce's "Sustainable Living," also distributed by Copley, and other environmental content.

The growth of "green" features in newspapers is further illustrated by The Guardian recently appointing an Editor for the Environment pages on their website.
