Yahoo enlarges newpaper network

Yahoo Inc. announced Thursday that it has enlarged its network of newspaper partnerships to 634 participating publications.
The group now includes 30% of all U.S. daily newspapers, and 37% of U.S. Sunday circulation, reports East Bay Business Times.
The new members include the holdings of Shaw Newspapers, The Buffalo News, the Times Publishing Company, and the Columbian Publishing Company.
Yahoo first announced plans to expand its content in March 2007. With the latest move, Yahoo! said it has more than tripled the number of member companies since the Consortium’s inception in November 2006.
