US: NY Daily News orders high-tech KBA print press

The New York Daily News has ordered a 15-tower triplewide version of the compact Commander CT press from KBA – one of the most advanced print presses on the market, which will give the Daily News 100% color production capability.The press is to start churning out the Daily News late next year.
"When the KBA printing presses are fully operational, the print quality of the Daily News will be head and shoulders above the competition and equal to any newspaper in the world," said Daily News Chairman and Publisher Mort Zuckerman.
