US: New Direction for LA Times newsroom

His major goals to improve the paper include:
-a new breaking news blog, launched Feb. 13 (see photo)
-a video staff and improved video gear. Stanton also announced plans to hire a full-time instructor to train reporters on video shooting and editing
-a fully integrated newsroom, following the trend of integration seen at The New York Times and UK papers such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph.
-a more local focus “all the way down to the neighborhood level”
