UK: Mail on Sunday to relaunch next year
These changes follow redesigns at the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror.
Features will move out of the paper's main edition into a new standalone section and the Financial Mail on Sunday business supplement will move into the main paper.
The art director for News International projects, Al Trivino, who designed freesheet theLondonPaper, is overseeing the redesign.
After the changes, the main paper will include news, sport, business and personal finance, allowing the paper to publish more up-to-date City news closer to final Saturday deadlines.
The new second section, which has the working title Mail on Sunday 2 or Mail on Sunday 2.0, will contain the Review section, made up of features, arts, books and reviews. This section will also include travel.
The relaunch will be the culmination of a series of changes to the paper that have been aimed at attracting a younger readership.
Night and Day magazine was converted into the male-oriented Live and featured with You magazine in an expensive cinema marketing campaign that had two tribes of warring men and women finding comfort in the two magazines.
In July, the paper attracted attention when it was the first to distribute the new Prince CD Planet Earth, selling 2,800,846 copies.
