UK: Telegraph creates single media department

Posted by Evan Fell on November 16, 2007 at 11:56 AM
A single multimedia business department has been created by the Telegraph Media Group. It will produce content for The Daily, The Sunday Telegraph, and Telegraph.co.uk.
Each member of the business team will be working to produce content across all three publication, however The Daily telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph city sections will keep their own identity.

Richard Fletcher, formerly deputy City editor, has been appointed as the executive editor of business. Damian Reece remains the head of business across the three platforms. He says, "Integration has paid huge dividends already for both the Telegraph Media Group and the journalists it employs. It has allowed us to focus resources on the higher growth areas of our business while maintaining and adding to the success of others. Those areas of the business that have pursued an integrated strategy have seen impressive growth."
