The Australian links with WSJ

News Corporation’s newspaper The Australian will begin to use content from the Wall Street Journal.

A branded page from WSJ will be added to the business section of The Australian and selected articles from the Dow Jones Newswires and the WSJ throughout the paper and also on the papers website.

The deal is said to be independent of the pending acquisition of WSJ publisher Dow Jones by News Corporation in the $5 billion deal due to be completed within the next month.

Rupert Murdoch owner of News Corporation plans to “…add more national and international news” to WSJ and incorporate its content with other News Corporation titles. The integration of WSJ content in The Australian seems to be the first step in this direction.
