France: regional press unites for mag supplement

The French regional daily press is preparing to jointly publish a magazine supplement next spring, which will be distributed freely at one million copies.
The supplement will be focused on lifestyle and decoration issues, and will be available in cities of more than 100,000 inhabitants.
Its production will be outsourced, and will be funded by advertisers.
This move aims to bolster the regional press as a whole, which has tended to be less hard hit by the circulation decline than the national press.
