UK Times to launch in Middle East
The Times will be published seven days a week, available both in retail outlets and by subscription. The daily edition will contain 64 pages, while the week-end editions will run at 96 pages. The international editions will be printed in the United Arab Emirates.
“Printing in Dubai is a very important milestone and we look forward to providing intelligent, informative and entertaining news, comment and analysis for many new readers in the region,” said Robert Thomson, Editor of The Times.
“With The Times and The Sunday Times, we offer advertisers a way to reach the region’s political and business elite, along with an educated and engaged English-speaking audience. From a branding standpoint, The Times name sells itself,” said Tariq Qureishy, CEO, SAB Media, which acquired licensing for the Times in the region.
