New Zimbabwe.com to launch print edition
Posted by Ben Thalman on May 23, 2007 at 2:39 PM
New Zimbabwe.com is gearing up to launch its new print edition – The New Zimbabwe – on July 7th. The paper will be available across the UK on a weekly basis and will be mostly free, although the director of New Media Zimbabwe, Mduduzi Mathuthu, said it could be sold in some areas.
Whereas most newspaper companies in the UK and the US began in print and then created an online edition, New Media Zimbabwe is doing the exact opposite.
Mathuthu describes the process: “As a natural progression, we have reached that stage where we need to explore opportunities in the print industry. The growth of Zimbabwean companies in the Diaspora affords us a unique opportunity to reach out to them and deliver their products and services to their target market in a way that was previously never imagined.”
Although there will be limited copies available for subscribers, New Media Zimbabwe has no immediate plans to publish the paper in Zimbabwe. The target audience for The New Zimbabwe are South Africans and Zimbabweans living in the UK.
With the success of New Zimbabwe.com – 500,000 hits per day – it will be interesting to see how the print edition fairs.

New Zimbabwe if funded by senior members of zanupf. It is aledged thatone of the funders is Gono of the Zimbabwe Reserve bank. It is also noteable how the website has positioned itself on the side of zanupf in recent times. Most of the time it prints utter rubbish
it is shoking news to think that new zimbabwe can be funded by zanu pf and it shows how much cunning zanu is and my advise is never trust anyone including your own child he or she maybe infiltrated by zanu if you know what i mean
The New Zimbabwe is great ,but Mathuthu said that Zimbabwe and Africa will be
like the same position what they do in Zimbabwe affects Africa.
Acording to Zanu's advice, never trust anyone including your own child or maybe by our morals this is not a healthy mentality-if you know what i mean about zanu CIO morals.
It is shocking to think that new Zimbabwe can be founded by Zanu principles and it shows how far media can come to play a vital role in the Zimbabwean situation.
God Bless Zimbabweans to overcome the present for the sake of the future.
