Independent on Sunday preparing to launch its redesign

This week the Independent on Sunday is going to launch its redesign. The redesign consists primarily of amalgamating pullouts and magazines into a newspaper and a magazine and a stronger focus on graphics.

Some key changes and points:
- The books and culture supplement will be removed and a new Review magazine, with a larger format, will absorb some of the supplement’s content.
- A single larger newspaper will take the place of the Business & Money and the Compact Traveller pullouts.
- The sports section will be reduced by 10 pages, from 30 to 20, and may be moved off the back page.
- A team of designers has been hired to create graphics for the top of each page, which will have news briefs across the top.
- According to the Independent on Sunday: “The new Sunday Review colour supplement will be bigger both in size and number of pages, with arts and book at its centre and the best seven-day TV guide of any paper".

A blog is to be launched on the Independent’s website to get feedback about the changes from readers.
