US: 2007 print ad predictions

Posted by Allie Judson on December 4, 2006 at 12:42 PM
A recent study release Friday stated that newspaper-advertising rates will raise 1.2 percent thanks to Internet ads. The total projected spending is $50.1 billion according to the Newspaper Association of America.

Though print ads will still account for a large portion of ad dollars, $46.9 billion in 2007, Internet ads are projected to go up 22%. The study also expects a slight fall in print classifieds. The predicted numbers reflect the current print ad climate as more advertisers turn to the Internet along with their audience.
