Despite recent revelations on UK’s corrupt journalism methods, the “What the Papers Say Awards” named the Daily Mirror its newspaper of the year.
Stephen Moyes, investigative journalist for the Mirror, won the reporter of the year award.
Richard Wallace, editor of the Mirror, said that in his paper “everyone loves what they do and this is just a bit of icing on the cake."
The Sunday Times won the most awards, including scoop of the year and foreign correspondent of the year for its reporter Christina Lamb.
Other winners included, among others, The Sun, the Observer and the Daily Telegraph.
