UK: Local paper prints Polish supplement to inspire community involvement

The Reading Chronicle has decided to continue printing a weekly edition in Polish after a one-month trial sparked interest among the Stephen Brook community. The supplement called Kronika Reading will consist of the first seven broadsheet pages of the Reading Chronicle translated in Polish.
This is one of the first UK papers to appeal to the foreign language market. The Reading Chronicle hopes the Polish edition will create local interest among the Polish community and help raise dropping circulation numbers. Kronika Reading will be available each Thursday and will be sold in Polish shops and clubs.
