Russia: Kommersant in color

Posted by Rory Satran on September 28, 2006 at 1:37 PM

Kommersant, one of Russia's foremost daily papers, has made the move to color and expanded their size from 16 to 24 pages.  The change was effectuated on Monday.

The color pages will be published every day in Moscow and on Monday, Thursday, and Friday in St.Petersburg.  Color is also available for ad space.

Kommersant was sold last August to Alisher Usmanov, an owner of Metalloinvest.

Does Kommersant have some blogs ? Somebody here is interested in blogs in Russia ? We represent typepad techno and are ready to offer blogs for newspapers ;-)) contact me typepadcis@gmail.com

There's no straight link between Kommersant having new owner and the fact that kommersant moved to color format. they started sellind ad spaces in color some months ago already.
But people expect that the content and the editorial position will change in nearest future.
