Metro moves into Mexico, sizing up London
“London is the best newspaper city in the world. Nobody has ever succeeded in making an afternoon freesheet work, but there is room for more competition here,” said Tornberg.
Presently, Metro has partnered with Associated Newspapers to help with the advertising for its freesheet, also called Metro. But with Tornberg's company growing quickly, already up to 69 editions in 93 cities, he seems confident that the Swedish-based freesheet can thrive in the London commuter market.
