Scottish newspaper launches electronic version
Posted by Diana Epstein on April 25, 2006 at 3:40 PM
Scotland's Herald newspaper has launched a digital service, Herald Digital, that offers readers a fully browseable and interactive version of the paper’s print format.
Working with Canada-based firm Newspaper Direct, the new service offers RSS feeds, scrollable indexes, podcasts, audio, video, and 30-day archives. The site will be published from Monday to Saturday at 6 am and can be translated into 11 languages.
Although the service isn’t free, users can currently sign up for a free three-day trail, subscription to the service will be available for less than the print version.

This is at the very least news; the (Glasgow) Herald's lack of an RSS feed has meant that I've been stuck with the dreadful (Edinburgh) Scotsman for north of the border coverage.
(And I almost admire the way you don't link the Herald, but only almost.)
