Swiss publisher to launch newspaper in Ukraine
Swiss publisher Ringier is expanding its European business. This spring Ringier will be the first western media company to launch a daily newspaper in Ukraine. The name and the exact launch date were not yet announced. KleinReport writes that the paper will be a tabloid. However, Ringier said that the paper creates 125 new jobs. Editor in chief will be Aleksey Gazubey, former editor in chief of the Ukrainian paper Segodnya. Gazubey was also involved in planning the new paper. Ringier is now publishes daily newspapers and magazines in 11 different countries. The goal for the Ukraine is market leadership.
