The Observer: circulation grows by 100,000 copies after re-design
The Observer, the UK's oldest Sunday newspaper, has seen an increase in circulation of 100,000 copies to an average sales figure of 542, 075 since its Berliner re-launch on 8, January. This represents an increase of 25.94% since December 2005 and a 21.32% year on year increase.
Carolyn McCall, chief executive of Guardian Newspapers Ltd. made the following statement about the circulation increase: "This is our highest sale since we acquired the Observer in 1993 and demonstrates that the Berliner Observer has gained trial and reappraisal from a large audience."
