US: San Antonio Express-News to target Hispanic readers

Today the San Antonio (Texas) Express-News, will launch its "bilingual, bicultural" weekly newspaper called Conexión, writes Mark Fitzgerald at Editor & Publisher. The newspaper, which will have a charge, will feature 60% of its articles in English, with the rest in Spanish. San Antonio is the largest US city where the majority of residents are Hispanic.

I find you endorsement of Bush to be poorly
reasoned. You admit that Bush made misjudgments
on Iraq and mismanaged the budget making the
US a debtor nation. He made no plans in the
Iraq war. When do we get out? 'Leave it up to
Bush's flawed judgment'is your answer. You argue that Kerry has no vision, yet you ask Bush to
reestablish relations with allies. Kerry stated this was his strategy, yet you ignore it. You state that Kerry has not distinuished himself in
areas of national security. Your argument comes to this: reelect Bush who has a record of incompetently running the war and the economny over Kerry who has no record. Is this the way editors are hired?
